When Kathereen, Ricky's sister, reached out to me to photograph her brothers proposal, I was ecstatic! I had never photographed a proposal yet and I was ready for the challenge! We discussed a few different places for the proposal to occur, including Kraft Azalea Garden. Deciding to pick a less populated park, we settled on Long Lake Park in Oviedo. I showed up early to help with the set up and waited in anticipation. Kathreen and I hid in the bushes to make sure we could capture the proposal. From my research, I knew once Ricky got on his knee, I might only have about 10 seconds to get the perfect photo. The pressure was on! I ran to my marked spot, and snapped away! I loved the thrill of it. It reminded me of photographing a couples first kiss as newlyweds. You only get one chance, one moment, just a few seconds to get THE image. And well... they say an image is worth a thousand words. I will let my photographs do the talking.
